Some of the largest tech firms in the world have partnered with the Cloud Security Alliance, an organization dedicated to understanding all facets of artificial intelligence and promoting best practices in cloud computing. The CSA, considered the worlds leading organization in this area, today reported it had formed the AI Safety Initiative, partnering with the likes of Amazon.com Inc., the artificial intelligence research startupAnthropic, Google LLC, Microsoft Corp., and OpenAI. Together, they will work with various leading experts from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, or CISA, as well as academics, governments and industries affected by AI development.

SAP has revealed that its attempts to create an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tool for its cloud "was abandoned after a year and a half as a failure." That admission came in a Wednesday post penned by Jay Thoden van Velzen a strategic advisor to SAP chief security officer Sebastian Lange.
