Unboxing the Tolino Page 2 E-Reader – Goodereader

The Tolino Page 2 is an entry level e-reader and is fairly affordable, it only costs 89.00. This device features a six inch capacitive touchscreen display that utilizes an E INK Carta HD display. The resolution is 212 PPI, whereas most readers tend to have 300 PPI. You dont notice the diminished resolution when reading an ebook, but it is noticeable when looking at PDF files. It has a front-light system to read in the dark and has 5 white LED Lights, there is no color temperature system.

Underneath the hood is a IMX.6 sololite 1GHZ processor, 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There is an additional 25GB of online storage via the Tolino Cloud. There are a number of languages for the main UI such as German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch and Flemish.

The retail packaging is not as nice as the Tolino Epos 2 or the Vision 5. The front of the box showcases the e-reader in vibrant colors and the back gives some basic tech specs. It is a simple cardboard box that opens from the top. There is a green sleeve that houses the USB cable and it is not braided like the other models. There are two pieces of documentation, the quickstart guide and warranty information. The e-reader itself is enclosed in a black bubble mailer.
