The film star whose latest role is that of Ronald Reagan, with Penelope Ann Miller portraying Nancy Reagan was at a table fullof Republican stalwarts at a special dinner for high-end GOPers

"It was a very Trump crowd," said our GOP spy. "Wilbur and Hilary Ross, Mary and Pete Dawkins, Sharon Bush Murray, Kim Renk Dryer, Melinda Rockwell, a few more, for cocktails and dinner.".

And a little something extra.

"Wewere getting ready to sit down and saw that they were setting up some kind of discussion forumso we ducked out before anybody could see us."

Gee, we hope cocktails were served before the yap-athon.

Out and about: Real, live, in-person,happy-to-see-you parties are back, but the dress code has changed.Where it used to be that a little black dress and pearls would take a gal anywhere, it's now a little beige bandage and a white vax card.

"Have you been vaxxed?" is the new welcome mat, and if the answer is yes, well, c'mon in and have a drink.

The next night, Givenchy was the guest of honor at a dinner hosted by interior designerRichard Mishaanat Swiftys Pool. Lambert is the co-author with fellow attorneyGeoffrey Stewartof Washington, D.C.,of a new book from Lyons Press called The Anointed: New Yorks White Shoe Law Firms How They Started, How They Grew, and How They Ran the Country.

There were cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a brief talk by Lambert on the background of the book.
