Germany-based utility E.ON has selected Wipro as a partner in its grid modernisation and digital transformation initiatives.

Wipro has been awarded a strategic, multi-year infrastructure modernisation and digital transformation services engagement by E.ON.

E.ON will leverage Wipros technologies and services to transform its legacy data center operations to a hybrid cloud-based model. Wipro will provide its BoundaryLess Enterprise framework and HOLMES Artificial Intelligence, and automation platforms.

Using the services and technologies, E.ON will have access to real-time data regarding the operations of its data center, a development which will help reduce the footprint of the data center, streamline its infrastructure and achieve operational agility.
